HOW TO EDIT AADHAR CARD – ONLINE
The easiest way to make corrections in your Aadhar card is to edit it online since it takes barely 10 minutes and you can request changes from the comfort of your home. However, in order to do this, you will need to register your mobile number with The Unique Identification Authority of India.
Follow the steps below to edit your Aadhar card online:
STEP 1: GO TO THE SSUP UIDAI PORTAL FOR UPDATE
Visit the portal ssup.uidai.gov.in/update. You can copy paste this link in your browser or Click here to reach the portal directly.
STEP 2: ENTER AADHAR AND OTP
Enter the number of your Aadhar card and the text verification number. Once this is done, click on send OTP option.
STEP 3: PROCEED USING THE OTP
A onetime password will be sent to your registered mobile number, enter this password and proceed.
STEP 4: SELECT THE OPTION TO UPDATE
Once you enter your OTP, you will see a webpage which will allow you to update Aadhar details. Update the details that need to be rectified and move towards the next step.
STEP 5: UPLOAD DOCUMENTS
You will now have to upload a scanned colored copy of your documents. After this, select the BPO Service provider and finally click on Submit button.

Note: The Aadhar Card change is not immediate; it will take a period of two- three weeks for your Aadhar card to be updated. Also, only the few details can be updated online, these details are:

If you face any problem in the online method, use the ofline method explained below.
STEP 1: GET THE OFFLINE FORM FOR AADHAR CORRECTION
In order to make changes in your Aadhar card in offline mode, you will need to download an Aadhar correction form. Click here to download the form.
STEP 2: FILL THE DETAILS

STEP 3: ATTACH THE VALID DOCUMENTS
Once you have entered the information, attach all the self- signed documents required as given in the attached Valid Documents List.

STEP 4: WRITE THE AADHAR NUMBER ON ALL COPIES
Once this is done, Mention the number of your Aadhar card on all the copies of documents that you submit.
STEP 5: SEND IT VIA POST TO THE UIDAI ADDRESS
Finally, send the completed form with all the documents to any of the address given below:
Note: Make sure to mark the envelope holding the documents and form as “Aadhar update/ correction” and that the envelope is sealed properly. Once the update request is received, you will receive an intimation of the same.
