HOW TO CHANGE DATE OF BIRTH IN AADHAR CARD- EASY STEPS EXPLAINED

Changing date of birth in Aadhar card is not a long process. Owing to the internet service portal provided by the UIDAI, you can easily file your Aadhar update request in less than ten minutes. However, remember that you will only be able to make changes to your date of birth via this method if you have your mobile number registered with the UIDAI. If you do not have your mobile number registered, then you will have to visit your nearest Aadhar centre in order to get the required changes done. Also, only the following details can be updated online:
  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Mobile Number – Only in case of Updating / Changing the number and NOT to add a new one.

STEP 1- VISIT THE ONLINE PORTAL

The first step towards changing your date of birth in Aadhar card is to login to the online portal by the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) which is www.ssup.uidai.gov.in/update. You can either paste this link in your web browser or visit it directly by Clicking here.

STEP 2- GET THE OTP

If you have registered your mobile number, the next step after visiting the portal is to enter the number of your Aadhar card and the text verification number which will be given in a box. After this, click on send OTP.

STEP 3- ENTER NEW DATE OF BIRTH

After you have followed the previous steps, enter the OTP that you have just received on your mobile number. Through this OTP you will be able to file the request for change of date of birth. As shown above, Click on the Date of Birth option from the menu and enter the new date of birth and the other details that are asked. It is important that you make sure to enter all these details correctly. Once you have rechecked the details that you have just entered, proceed towards the next step.

STEP 4- UPLOAD DOCUMENTS

The next step involves uploading a scanned, colored copy of your documents. Once you have done that, the next step is to select the BPO Service Provider.

STEP 5- CLICK SUBMIT

Once the above process is completed, click on submit button to file your update request. Remember that Aadhar card change isn’t instant. It will take at least 2-3 weeks for your date of birth on your Aadhar card to be changed. Once this period has passed, you can print your updated Aadhar card by visiting the portal www.uidai.gov.in.
