So have you registered your mobile number or e-mail with your aadhar card? Not yet? Register it as soon as possible. If it is already registered and you want to verify it, just follow these simple steps and you are done.

UIDAI allows you to do the needful on your own, you don’t have to roam about the government offices.

So what is the main procedure and how to do it?

To verify your mobile number or e-mail, go to the UIDAI website, click on the ‘verify e-mail/mobile no’ link.

Next page will appear, fill in the details in the specific areas correctly. After doing this, click on the ‘Get one-time password’ link.

Make sure you enter the correct mobile number because the OTP will come on the same number only.

An aadhaar verification code will be sent to your registered number as an SMS. Now enter the same password to the OTP section.

For further proceedings, click on the ‘verify OTP’ option.

If all the details you filled were valid, the next page will show you a confirmation message.

Visit your nearest Permanent Aadhaar center, if in case your mobile number is not registered with it.
