How to Link Aadhaar with Bank of Baroda [Offline & Online Method]

Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance has issued instructions on opening of beneficiary’s Bank accounts and seeding (mapping) their Aadhaar Number for Direct Benefit Transfer (Electronic Benefit Transfer - EBT) under various Government Schemes. These benefits will directly be credited to the Bank accounts of the customers. To avail these benefits, linking of AADHAAR number to Bank account is made mandatory.

How to Link Aadhaar with Bank of Baroda

To facilitate our esteemed customers, our Bank has launched multiple channels for submission of Seeding Request.

Seeding Request will be processed by Bank subject to satisfactory verification of AADHAAR credential.

For Aadhaar seeding the consent of customer is mandatory and he/she need to acknowledge the below points before giving the request.

"I submit my Aadhaar number and voluntarily give my consent to :

  1. Seed my Aadhaar/UID number issued by the UIDAI, Government of India in my name with my selected account.
  2. Map it at NPCI to enable me to receive Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) from Government of India in my above account. I understand that if more than one Benefit transfer is due to me , I will receive all Benefit Transfers in this
  3. account.
  4. Use my Aadhaar details to authenticate me from UIDAI 
  5. Use my mobile number for sending SMS alerts to me"
The following channels are available to submit AADHAAR seeding request :


Link Aadhaar with Bank of Baroda through Internet Banking : (Only for Retail Internet Banking Customer)

  • Customer has to login to Internet Banking using his/her User ID and Password.
  • Click on the link in the home page “Registration of Aadhaar Number in Internet Banking “.
  • Enter and confirm the 12 digit Aadhaar number in the respective fields.
  • Select the Savings account for which Aadhaar number is to be linked.
  • To know the status about Linking and Rejection of Aadhaar number click on "Inquiry"

Link Aadhaar Number with Bank of Baroda Account through Branch

  • You can also visit your nearest Bank of Baroda to link Aadhar to your bank account. 
  • Link your Aadhaar number to all your bank accounts. 

Link Aadhaar Number with Bank of Baroda Account through Online Portal
  • To link Aadhaar with AB Bank just visit https://eserve.bankofbaroda.com/kycupdate/
  • Submit your details.

Link Aadhaar with Bank of Baroda through  Bank of Baroda ATMs

  • Customer inserts ATM/Debit card in any Bank of Baroda ATM and selects AADHAAR registration option available under Services category.
  • ATM will prompt the customer to enter AADHAAR number twice.
  • On completion, customer will receive receipt of seeding the request.

Link Aadhaar with Bank of Baroda through SMS

  • UID < space > 12 digits Aadhaar Number < space > last 4 digit of account number
  • e.g. if Aadhaar number is 1234567890123 and account number is 176104000000811
  • UID 1234567890123 0811
Note: On successful linking / delinking of AADHAAR number to the customer account, an SMS alert will be sent to the customer’s registered mobile number with the Bank.
