1. Checking Aadhar Card Status by Name

Generally, people check for Aadhar card status either after applying for it for the first time or in the event of applying for a duplicate one. In the former case, you must know Enrolment ID while for the latter case, you need to know your Aadhar Number or Enrolment ID.

However, when you miss both the numbers, you can check the status of your Aadhar card by using your name. A person’s Name, Email ID and registered Mobile Number are the only details required for getting the Enrolment ID (in case of a loss). Once the EID is known, it is easy to proceed further in checking the status of the Aadhar Card.
  • Enter your Name and other details and Generate OTP
  • You will receive the EID and Time and Date in SMS

2. Checking Aadhar Card Status With/Without Enrolment Number

Enrolment Number / ID must be maintained with great caution after applying for Aadhar Card. It is necessary to know the status of the Aadhar card thereafter. The EID found on the acknowledgement slip issued at the time of enrolment can be entered on the Resident Portal of UIDAI website to check the status of your Aadhar card.
  • Now click the Check Aadhar Status Button
  • Enter your EID and Enrolment Date / Time (in case you don’t have an EID then find the EID and the Application Time and Date from here)
  • Enter the CAPTCHA or Security code shown in image and click “Check Status”.

3. Checking Aadhar Card Status Online by Name and Date of Birth

This is another means to check your Aadhar Card Status in case of a loss / misplacement of the EID.

How to Check Aadhar Card Status Offline

1. Checking Aadhar Card Status by Mobile Number

For those who do not possess a computer/laptop with internet connection, the UIDAI has enabled this service of checking Aadhar Card status using your Registered Mobile Number.

  • UID STATUS <Your 14 digit enrollment number>
  • This SMS has to be sent on the number 51969.
Your telecom provider may charge you the standard amount of sending the message.

If your Aadhaar number has been generated, you will receive a SMS indicating the status.

2. Checking Aadhar Card Status by Phone Number

The All India Toll free Aadhar card status enquiry number – 1800-300-1947 can be reached from every nook and corner of the country.

You will not be charged for making a phone call to this number. This is indeed a great customer service initiative by UIDAI. After you place a call to the mentioned toll free number, a representative at the other end will provide you with the status of your Aadhar card.
