How to get Online Aadhar Card Download?

  • Firstly, visit the official UIDAI Web Portal or click here.
  • Choose Aadhar number, in the ‘I have’ section .
  • Fill in your Aadhar Number and keep filling other required details like your Name, Pin code, CAPTCHA, mobile number.
  • Once done, Click on the ‘Get One Time Password‘ option.
  • You shall have received an OTP on your mobile.
  • Enter that OTP in the next blank, Click ‘Validate and Download‘.

Once you have completed all the above steps, congratulations, you have successfully downloaded your Aadhar Card. It is further advisable that you print your E-Aadhar.

You may print it on a photo paper or a PVC card which increases the shelf life of your Aadhar Card.

Check your Aadhar Status before you get Online Aadhar Card Download

UIDAI Resident Portal allows you to check Aadhar Card Status Online easily. Read the next few lines and steps to know the process:

  • Now click the Check Aadhar Status Button
  • Enter your EID and Enrollment Date / Time.
  • Enter the CAPTCHA or Security code and click the “Check Status” option.

Note: You should keep in mind that if your Aadhar Status shows ‘dispatched’ (which means your Aadhar has been generated and is on its way – by post) you can download an electronic version of it online.

However if your Aadhar Status informs you that your Aadhar Card is under processed it means that the data collected at the time of enrollment is undergoing a scrutiny at the moment and hence the Aadhar Card has not yet been generated.

It generally takes 90 days for your Aadhar information to get completely processed and your Aadhar to be generated.

In such a case you shall not be able to download your E- Aadhar yet.
