Aadhar Card Status Enquiry

The significance of Aadhar Card on day to day life is evident from recent announcements made by Government on linking many of its new schemes to Aadhar for effective and timely delivery of services to people without any pilferage of funds and public money. And hence it becomes essential to apply for the same and once you have applied you definitely want to check the Aadhar Card Status Enquiry of your application. Let us see how to go about it.

How to do Aadhar Card Status Enquiry?

A common query among curious minds is to check and know the status of their application forms for different services. In case of Aadhar – a unique 12 digit number issued to all individuals, one can easily check the status of his or her enrollment application in simple and easy steps.  One need not visit the enrollment center again to get details regarding status of the enrollment made by him/her. The status can easily be checked online using the UIDAI portal designated for this purpose in few clicks.

In order to verify the status of Aadhar enrollment application and check whether Aadhar ID has been issued or not, one needs to visit the UIDAI portal for checking Aadhar Card status (also known as The Kiosk) by clicking HERE (https://resident.uidai.net.in/check-aadhaar-status) . A webpage similar to the one in screen shot below shall open up on the screen.

Once at the portal, we shall be asked to key in our enrollment details like Enrollment ID, Date and Time of enrollment etc. These details can be found on the enrollment confirmation slip received at the enrollment center on successful enrollment. These details are mandatory and are required for checking the status of Aadhar Application. However if by chance one looses access to the confirmation slip, your Aadhar Card Status Enquiry or Aadhar status enquiry can still be done by following few simple steps.
  • Enter the Enrollment ID as mentioned on the enrollment slip.
  • Key in the Date and Time of enrollment exactly as written in the enrollment slip.
  • Enter the Security Code in the given slot.
  • Click on the Check Status button to submit the query.
Once this is done, a detailed status report for the said enrollment ID for Aadhar shall be generated and displayed on the screen. Also actions (if any) which need to be taken shall be notified and displayed on the screen with full details.

If an Aadhar ID is issued, the ID shall be displayed on screen and this can be used to download a copy of Aadhar Card online.

The copy of Aadhar generated online is equally valid as the one received through post from UIDAI, this has been proclaimed by various Government agencies from time to time. Online generated Aadhar or e-Aadhar can also be used to print duplicate copy of Aadhar Card in case one looses the card received through post.

The Kiosk or the Resident portal of UIDAI thus provides an effective tool to check status of Aadhar application and also to know the  allotted Aadhar ID after successful enrollment.
