1. Aadhar card benefits – Direct Benefits Transfer of LPG (DBTL)


One of the primary benefits of Aadhar Card/ Aadhar number is Direct Benefit Transfer. Initiated by the UPA government, it is legit even under the Modi Government. The scheme is to transfer the subsidy on Lpg directly to one’s Aadhar Enabled Bank Account. This scheme of crediting the subsidies directly to bank accounts was started to prevent delays and reduce other corruptive measures. To get an access to this benefit one has to have an Aadhar Card number and thereby link it to their bank accounts.

2. Aadhar Card Can Help You in Getting Scholarships

Aadhar Card Benefits also apply for scholarship purposes. If a student is entitled to a government scholarship, the amount is directly credited to one’s Aadhar Enabled Bank Account. This process of transferring the scholarship amount directly to Aadhar Enabled Bank Account uncomplicates things. The student can have an easy access to the money in their bank account. Instead of actually going to the allotted place to collect the money, the money is available right away. Linking Aadhar Card Details with your bank account can be done via the net banking option on your respective bank’s web portal.

3. Aadhar Card for Access to DigiLocker

The government has also made it mandatory for the pensioners of select states to register their Aadhar Number with their respective departments to receive the pensions. The move is expected to put an end to the fraudulent practice of pension claim by beneficiaries.

5. Payment of Provident Fund

It is now mandatory for employees all over India to link their Aadhar Number with EPFO (Employee Provident Fund Organisation) to claim the proceeds.


6. Digital Life Certificate

Last but not the least, the government has also initiated the ‘Jeevan Praman for Pensioners’. It is aimed at putting an end to the woes of pensioners. Under this scheme, the pensioners would be granted Digital Life Certificates. It will thus enable the smooth and hassle free transfer of monthly pension to the Pensioner’s Aadhar Enabled Bank Account.
