- This unique number will serve as a proof of identity and address, anywhere in India.
- Any individual irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident in India and satisfies the verification process laid down by the UIDAI can enroll for Aadhaar Card.
- Each individual needs to enroll for Aadhaar Card only once which is free of cost.
- Each Aadhaar number will be unique to an individual and will remain valid for life time. Aadhaar Card number will help you provide access to services like banking, mobile phone connections and other Govt and Non-Govt services in due course.
- On top of your acknowledgement slip contains 14 digit enrollment number and the 14 digit date and time of enrollment. These 28 digits together form your temporary enrollment ID (EID).
- Enter the 14 digit enrollment number and the enrollment date and time in the boxes provided link in below.
Now you can also check Aadhaar status by sending SMS as “UID STATUS <14 digit enrollment number>” (e.g. UID STATUS 12345678901234) to 51969. If your Aadhaar has been generated and SMS is sent from registered mobile then you will receive the Aadhaar number otherwise only current status will be communicated.

Then you may not worry about your Aadhaar Card. Because UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India ) is providing a facility for Downloading Aadhaar Card Online . In order to download Aadhaar Card candidate should posses his/her Aadhaar enrollment receipt.
